xObsBrowserAutoRefresh - Timed automatic browser source refreshing v1.2

I don't think this plugin works anymore. It's installing fine, it shows up fine, I can set it's one setting fine, but it does not refresh the source! and it's a local html file!

When did it stop working for you, what did you change (because you said "anymore")? It's working fine for me. Are you sure you directly added it as a filter to the standard OBS browser source, not some modified or similar version of it? Does the refresh trigger properly when you click the refresh button on the browser source's properties dialog yourself (the one that says "Refresh cache of current page")?

Could you show a screenshot please of the refresh filter being added to the browser source? Also a log uploaded from the OBS menu under "Help -> Log Files -> Upload Current Log File" could help me get a better insight into your setup.

I would love to have an option to refresh a specific browser source when I click Start Streaming on OBS. This would be a nice addition to this plugin, or you could do something separated to refresh one or a list of browser sources when Start/Stop Stream/Record. I would use this to refresh a browser source which contains some "starting soon" countdown and other animations.

This was exactly what I needed, but after installing, it's not appearing in my Filters list. I have the latest version of OBS on Mac.

Hm, so the only thing that comes to my mind is that on my first test I had to go somewhere into system settings and allow executing this "unsafe" binary. I don't have an Apple developer account for 99$/year and cannot sign this, and Apple treats everything that's not signed as "unsafe", needing these extra confirmation. I had to do something like described here to allow it. Maybe that's the issue?

And just to be sure, you searched it under "Effect Filters", right? Not the other filter section.

After installation, do you see the xObsBrowserAutoRefresh.plugin file in the ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio/plugins folder? From the OBS main menu select Help -> Log Files -> View Current Log. This opens a separate "Log Viewer" window. In this check the output right after starting OBS please for everything that contains "xObsBrowserAutoRefresh" - maybe you get an error that can help us figure out what's wrong.

Normally it should say it's loaded and then list it in the "Loaded Modules" section:

Likewise it should also be visible from the main menu options Tools -> Plugin Manager.

Yeah, I had to open it anyway through the Settings because it wasn't trusted, but I'm used to doing that with many apps.

The first time I installed it, I accidentally left OBS running. So I uninstalled, closed OBS, then installed again. That's the only thing I can think that I did wrong.

It's not appearing in Effect Filters, the file is not in the /obs-studios/plugins/ folder either, and no mention of it in the Logs either.

I think the home directory installation isn't working the way I planned, my bad. I will have to change the installer. I will release a fix soon. In the meantime, please run the current old uninstaller again to get rid of the previous non-functional installation (though it's not the end of the world if you don't, I'd just like things clean).
