CUDA error on Debian

when I try to record using OBS Studio, I get this error:

init_cuda_ctx: CUDA call "cu->cuInit(0)" failed with CUDA_ERROR_NO_DEVICE(100): no CUDA-capable device is detected
I don't think there's much more to say.

graphics card: either Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 or 3080
DE: XFCE
OS: Debian Linux
